35 Weeks

Scott was hit-or-miss this week with sleep because his first upper tooth was sprouting. In other growth news, he started wearing 12-18 month clothes.
Like this cute outfit from his grandma, aunts and cousins.
He really loves this pumpkin.
We went to greet Ryan as he came home from his mission. The men wore pocket squares in his honor and Scott dressed up in his tux (size 6-12 months, as you can tell by the short pant legs).
Annie earned first hugs as the mom.
We were out late and Scott crashed on the drive home. He tangled his balloon around himself and it looked like it choked him.
The next night we went to our ward trunk-or-treat. Scott had his first parade.
Caleb the little aviator won a cute costume medal. Brooke earned it by making those hats and plane.
While people set up their trunks we watched the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown movie. Scott was mesmerized. I wonder what he thinks about when watching because he is always captivated by anything on screen.
Scott felt badly that he had more shoes than his cousin Paige, so he picked these up for her at Target. Then he wore them in a bit carrying them around the house so she wouldn't get blisters.
John put a hole in the wall for a dryer vent.
Scott did not like the noise, so we went outside to watch.
He stopped crying, but blinked every time John chiseled.
Then John did some electrical work.
And miracle of miracles, our washer and dryer are side-by-side. It's the small joys in life.
Like hearing Scott babble sounds that resemble words like "da-da-da-da." I encourage this all day long because I want him to call for Da when he wakes up at night.
Scott started breathing loudly through his nose again and kept doing it all week. It sounds like sniffing. I tried recording him, but then he crawled over to climb on me. He also shows his tongue-clicking skill briefly then his dive-biting habit at the end.
He is a fun kid and we've been cracking up at his developments all week.

  1. The shoes are so cute! Paige really appreciates Scott breaking them in for her, so thoughtful! :)

He is such a cutie. I really love this stage where they are developing so much and moving around and doing new things all the time. Enjoy it.

  3. The video of Scott blinking is pretty funny. Dallin got a kick out of it.

  4. I must be evil, because the picture of the balloon choking Scott really cracks me up. I love the expression on Scott's face while he's watching the Charlie Brown movie. And last but not least, I'm happy to see your washer and dryer reunited at last!
