Labor Day

John had off on Labor Day and Wendy was still in town from Jane's blessing.
We all enjoyed a little extra sleep and pajama time.
Jane woke up bright eyed and ready for fun.
But first, some pictures in her little sleeper.
It was this cutie's when he was little. It's hard to believe how quickly they grow.
John pulled out all the stops getting some smiles.
She loves smiling at her daddy.
I mostly get her tongue sticking out. Also adorable.
And sometimes a straight grump face. I just want to squeeze her cheeks all the time.
We eventually left the house and went for a hike with Amanda. We didn't venture too far--we tried the Limekiln trail in Los Gatos.
Jane enjoyed her first hike from the comfort of the carrier. The boys collected as many sticks as they could carry.
And some rocks.
It was great letting them run and be a little more free.
Unlike the energetic boys, some of us needed more rests in the shade.
When we got home, we went out for a bit and left John and the kids at home.
They worked on their Labo game my brother sent.
It goes painfully slowly because they take turns and John guides them, but lets them do all the steps themselves.
They don't mind because it's hours of entertainment.
It was a nice holiday and great to have a one to one adult to kid ratio for the day.
