Mockingbird Quicksilver Hike

We took our first break from staying home to go for a hike. Other than walks around the block, the kids hadn't left our house and were getting stir crazy.
We went during the week so it wouldn't be crowded and we could let the kids be freer. Except for Jane.
It was a very steep incline and my fitbit said we went up 64 flights of stairs.
Perry using his glasses to see the birds.
It was slightly strenuous for the kids, but we had a snack break in the shade at the top that rejuvenated them.
Scott loves running on trails and just flies ahead.
Paused for a view of the beautiful scenery below.
And for the adults to catch our breaths. John had Jane and I was carrying 5 water bottles, so it was a heavy and hot load.
We felt great after getting some energy out. Fresh air, sunshine, exercise, and space to play is just what we needed.
Everyone sleeps better after a solid hike, even the one who was carried.
