Star Wars Exhibit Adventure

I bought tickets to the Star Wars exhibit at the Tech Museum at Costco for John, but we decided to bring Scott since he would probably enjoy it and is still free. Instead of driving and paying to park, we took the light rail and made a day of it.

It was a well-done exhibit. It was cool to see what they used in the movies before things like computer graphics were available.
Scott was afraid of the Hoth Wampa.
They had models of various ships
 Some big, some little
Scott liked Darth Vader. There were lots of original costumes, which I liked seeing.
They also had several hands-on science exploration stations. Most went over Scott's (and my) head, but we still enjoyed playing with them.
This one showed how to create emotion through facial expression on a robot/screen.
Scott just liked talking on the "phone."
After the exhibit, we walked over to lunch. Scott put his snacks on sugar packets while we waited an exorbitantly long time for food. There were several things going on downtown, so the restaurant was packed.
Walking back to the museum, Scott wanted to run through the fountains. When it's a little hotter we want to take him back to play. It's always full of kids in the summertime.
Scott was glued to the billiard ball machine.
It's a really big display outside that kids cry to leave.
We went back to go through the museum part. Scott found a little rescue pod designed for people in tsunamis to float in until help comes.
Also a tunnel that I didn't read the significance about.
You're supposed to see how to build the blocks and balance them, but Scott just liked to put them on there and knock them off.

After a couple more hours, we headed back home to get ready for a friend's wedding reception.
Scott loved the choo-choo. Jonah loved all the pouch time with dad and the lack of a car seat.
We had a fun family day together.
