Las Vegas

Our anniversary trip this year was to Vegas. Since we don't drink or gamble, most people asked why when we told them that was our destination. Our vacation goals were: break from kids, explore new place, eat good food.
First Earl of Sandwich for breakfast, then Shake Shack for lunch.
We went to m&m and Hershey World.
I spy John by the m&m wall.
We toured Ethel M
and bought thank you chocolates for our babysitters (moms). Also the best chocolate dipped strawberries I've ever had. And I'm a good judge because I love those things.
I really wanted to see the Beatles Love show, but it was closed the 2 weeks we were looking at going. Rather than putting off our trip another month, we got tickets to a different Cirque du Soleil show, Zarkana. We bought the cheapest tickets available then they upgraded them when we got there to amazing front and center seats.
After a solid night's rest and peaceful hotel breakfast, we spent the next day touring the strip. I didn't take a lot of pictures because we were mostly being leisurely.
Of course John wanted to see all the resorts themed like European cities. The real Italy was slightly more impressive. Sorry Venetian.
I spy John on the circular escalator at Caesars Palace.
We ate at Serendipity 3 and were sadly disappointed. Compared to New York it was not as tasty, smaller and more expensive.
The fountains of Bellagio were amazing, though!
I spy John on the bridge of sighs.
We ate at Earl of Sandwich for dinner
and got another custard shake from Shake Shack for dessert. I liked this onesie. Not pictured was our meal at Chicken Shack, which was so good. But we decided it was enough shack restaurants for a while.
Saturday we headed to the temple.
I blacked out inside, so I look really groggy here.
We had a great time together, as we always do. We headed home refreshed and ready to see our boys.
