Perry Turns 3

Perry wanted a "strawberry, Mickey Mouse, Booyah, blah blah cake." I did my best.
Perry is such a happy little three year old and loved celebrating his birthday. Everything is fun and exciting for him, which is infectious for all of us.
He asks to use the Kindergarten paints every time we go in Jonah's classroom, so we gave him an easel and paints for his gift.
He was thrilled.
He couldn't wait to get started and just painted with an empty paintbrush before we convinced him to open his other gifts.
Jonah and Scott were happy to assemble Perry's magformer ferris wheel for him.
After dinner, presents, and cake, we put the kids to bed so Amanda, John and I could start the real party.
At his three year check up, Perry was 32 lbs 14 ounces (62nd percentile) and 3 feet 1 inch (41st percentile). He's usually lighter when he weighs himself at home, so I think his shoes and jacket may have added because he's pretty slight. He's still mostly wearing 2t clothes even after a recent growth spurt.
According to him, these are his favorites:
Food: pink lemonade. (not sure where that came from, he definitely prefers "mac a noonoos" and I'm shocked he didn't say lollipops)
Color: pink
Song: Mickey Mouse songs and Snowman
Animal: baby penguin
When he grows up he wants to be: a booyah boy or a penguin
Thing to do: play Daddy game, swimming with Mommy, play at Maxy's house, go to the park, camping, painting, Play-doh, pop up and search and find books, bubbles, tubbys.
Perry is opinionated and independent, but generally well-behaved and easy to redirect. He likes being silly and making us laugh. He gives hugs and kisses and would sit and be read to all day. I love having him as my little buddy during the day and wish he would stop growing up so quickly.
