Let it Snow

We were hoping for lots of snow while we were in Utah and were not disappointed.
There was just a hard layer of leftover snow at Julie and Christian's house, but we stopped by to see their house improvements and had some fun.
Perry wasn't so sure about the cold, wet business, but his older brothers were in heaven.
I also love the snow. I should say I love visiting it.
There was some old snow at the cemetery when we were in Utah for John's Grandma's funeral last February and Scott has been asking to play in the snow pretty regularly all year since then.
He was thrilled to see so much.
There was even more at the cabin.
Jonah's favorite thing the whole trip was throwing snowballs
at Grandma in particular.
He had an absolute blast.
Playing with cousins
Little devious face
Bennett enjoying a ride from Julie
Scott liked trying the sled down the hill to the bottom floor of the house.
Julie caught them because they were too light and would fly right into the wall.
Mush, Christian!
The thicker snow was more challenging for Perry.

Scott sneaking up on Grandpa.
Perry enjoying the snow from the safety of the saucer.

He also liked the view from John's shoulders.
The girls tried the hill together.

It was a fun and beautiful day.
Katie getting a workout pulling Logan around the huge yard.

A few days later we woke up to the most snow I've ever seen.
It was gorgeous and magical.

Perry was not convinced.
After he tried to eat the snow and discovered how wet and cold it is, I took him inside.
Uncle Neil made it all better. His poor little red face is so sad.
The big boys were in heaven.
The hill was much more treacherous with the new snow piled up.
Scott loved it.
Karen getting a soda from the outdoor fridge aka the porch. Those icicles were amazing.

I haven't been properly sledding before, so I had fun on the hill as well.
I took the boys on a few runs with me.
Their first snow experience was a success and they're excited for their next trip. They could have stayed and played outside forever.

  1. We left ID and they had the most snow they have had in 30 years! Now we are in IN and we have just had a couple of small snowfalls. Our boys just couldn't win, they missed big snowfalls in both places this year. I am being careful what I wish for because we do have to drive in it here.
