3 Months

Scott is growing too fast for my taste. Around 15 pounds and 25 inches by home measurements.
He's also able to do more now, such as grab his Bubba cow.
He is a sweet and happy boy.
His favorite things to do, besides eating, seem to be kicking and talking.
We love watching and playing with him.

New Overalls

My mom bought Scott this new outfit and there were too many pictures I liked to narrow it down enough for his weekly post.
He looks so different with hats on.
 Complete with matching shoes.
I made it on the blog!
Perhaps I should work on a matching outfit for myself next.
 He's such a little snuggler.
And it's easy to get a smile out of him now.
John was reading on the couch and Scott wanted to join him.
Here he is chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool.
He loves his new big boy clothes.

JCPenney

We took Scott for 3-month pictures yesterday. We pick them up in one week, but here's a sneak peek:
We think they turned out perfectly!

Party Sunday

After church (and a meeting and home teaching for John) we went to Karen and Alan's.
We had a family dinner for Lucas' third birthday.
Before every present, Lucas looked at the camera and said "cheese!"
Then we had Dick's burnt almond cake for dessert.
He loved being sung to, but had some rough times trying to blow the candles out.
Then we went over to Garrett's mission homecoming get together.
Ari came into town for it and met Scott for the first time.
Scott was passed around and adored by everyone. Britta got a little turn in as well.
When we came home John and Scott both crashed.

12 Weeks

Scott loves playing with his dad.
He is getting more expressive
and vocal.
We went to the Harlines to make crepes one night.
John learned how to lasso
He was good at it.
Scott started researching for his upcoming Disneyworld trip.
One day John was carrying him on his shoulders and I warned that he had just finished a 4-ounce bottle.
Needless to say my warnings were not heeded. Poor John was slimed.
Those chubby cheeks were soon forgiven.
And they went back to being best buds.
I dressed Scott one morning to discover his clothes were too small. Sad day! This one's a newborn outfit, but most of the 0-3 month clothes are snug, too.
Now he's naked.
Just kidding!
He has plenty of 3-6 month clothes he's excited to wear.
This is his last time wearing his (newborn) Cardinals onesie. See that big belly?!
Next week my goal is to get a picture of Scott with me in it!

Early Birthday Package

Jon-Paul sent John this shirt for his birthday.
We were having carbonara for dinner that night, so he had to try it out.
It's reassuring to know the pigs don't mind because we love us some bacon.

Dinosaur Jams

It doesn't get much cuter than a little boy in dinosaur print pajamas.
John's been excited about these since before Scott was born.
I can't believe Scott is already big enough for them.
He was playing in the bouncy seat and kicking his little dinosaur feet.
I think he likes his new pajamas.
He couldn't stop smiling in them.

Browsing His Books

John's been reading at night lately and Scott started feeling left out so we gave him his books to read.
He started holding his own pages!
He also likes being read to, especially books with colorful pictures.
 He makes the funniest faces.
I guess Brown was surprising for him.
 He likes Orange, though.
Sometimes he kicks and knocks the book off his lap or can't control his hands well and starts to whine for help.
He's still working on his gross motor skills.
