We went out to E&O Trading Company to celebrate my mom's birthday with the Harlines. It's sort of family-style so we tried several different entrees and enjoyed all of them.
Karyn was inspired by my mom's future trip to Paris and made this amazing birthday cake for her. It was extremely edible.
We kept trying to get a good picture of us whilst both dressed up, but John kept making faces(like this) 
So this was as good as we got.
Oh John, you should be a pro at striking a pose and smiling after your wedding day. Although I guess I can understand your smile wanting to rebel and take a break for a few days, but by now you should be fully recovered.

You both look fabulous. I'm glad to know that the old admonition about how you should not make scary faces because your 'face might get stuck that way' isn't true. Otherwise, John would be in big trouble!
ReplyDeleteIts fun to dress up once in awhile and do something fancy. I think I'll coax Alan into taking me out on a fancy date.
