Soccer Tournament and Quakes Game

The last weekend of soccer was a tournament with all the teams.
Jane came prepared with her life-size water bottle.
The games didn't overlap much, which was nice so we could watch them all, but made for a longer day. Perry was good about entertaining her during the other kids' games.
Jonah's team had a little after party where he got a medal and some snacks with his teammates.
Meanwhile, Scott started his second game on another field.
His coach was helpful and kind teaching Scott all season.
Scott improved so much with his coaching.
Another parent took pictures for the team and captured some great action shots of Scott.
You can see how engaged he was and really gave his all.
Jane found a shady bench for the second day of games.
But she relocated for her chair and snacks.
Perry's little team did improve throughout the season, but was still learning some basics even in the last game.
Jane helping tote all our junk to the next field.
Scott's last game was intense and fun to watch.
Jane and Perry practiced their skills on the side.
Including her climbing skills.
Scott was the go-to for throwing or kicking the ball in.
Their team one first place for their age group and got a trophy.
Way to go bullets!
Lugging all our stuff back to the van after a very long weekend.
Jane crashed on the way home.
We had some celebratory Sunday sundaes.
John crashed on the couch.
Then the kids finally went to bed.
Jonah backwards and blanketless,
Scott all tucked in and snuggling his penguin.
Perry's team had a pizza potlock party at the park, where he got his medal.
Scott's team had one at the same time and place, which was convenient. He got his medal and a new soccer ball.
Then the kids played the adults. John joined in, but heat and running are two of my least favorite things, so I enjoyed watching.
One of the perks of their league was access to discounted tickets to one of the Quakes games.
We've wanted to go for a long time and were excited to take everyone now that the boys were more familiar with soccer.
Before the game, their teams lined up and walked around the field.
We had a blast at the game. Overall, the season and game made it a great introduction to soccer.
