The day after Thanksgiving, we drove up to the mountains to get a tree.
We found a great farm that had hot chocolate and cider.
Jonah found a tiny tree for Jane. Trees were all $70 regardless of the size, so we were not about to bring home this 12 incher.
Jane roaming free in the tree lines.
We found a full, tall, sturdy tree and declared it the winner.
I sawed it down and John carried it to the wrap station.
Jane posed
without any direction.
Many helpers taking the tree to the car. It was a long wait to pay and get out because it was so crowded. But they also had fresh tamales for sale, so we bought some for lunch.
At home, I was going to toss the Halloween pumpkins that we kept for Thanksgiving/fall, but Perry was upset about it. He suggested we paint them for Christmas instead.
My mom had sent us some markers for rock coloring last year, so we pulled them out and the boys repurposed their pumpkins. Now we're ready for Christmas!
