Soccer Fall 2021

After playing with their soccer ball in the backyard during covid, we decided to try joining the soccer season this year. It meant a lot of Saturdays at the fields.
Jonah's coaches were our neighbors and it was fun to see them. Jonah jumped right in and did a great job learning the game
Jane entertained herself on the sidelines.
Scott's team had some really fantastic players and amazing coaches who helped him try to catch up to his experienced teammates.
Jane learned a few ball handling skills of her own.
Perry looks so sweet
but it's all a ruse.
Perry took a while to warm up to playing, but he was all in when it came time for the slurpee.
Jane liked having her own seat.
Scott learned a lot and improved quickly. He became a great defender and midfielder.
Jane was good at cheering for her brothers.
And snacking.
Jonah watching his teammates during his break.
He was a great goalie for his team and had one game where he saved about a dozen goals.
Perry got to the point where he didn't need to be encouraged to play and eventually wanted to join in. Their little team was very entertaining to watch chase the ball.
He liked playing goalie as well and wasn't afraid to get in there and block the goal.
His uniform was not always on properly
but he had fun.
It was a great first season and they all said they wanted to do it again. We'll need to check what age they start to see if Jane can join them next year.
