Maryland for Thanksgiving

We took the boys to visit my family for Thanksgiving this year.
They were great on the flights, which was encouraging. We haven't taken them on a long flight for a while and it wasn't the best last time.
We spent the day in Annapolis.
We went to the Maritime Museum
which was little, but nice.
The boys liked the boat and dressing up
but the huge shell pile outside was their favorite part.
Then we went downtown in search of lunch. We found a used bookstore with the cutest outside play area.
We went to a baked potato cafe that was great. Then we went to the Naval Academy where my aunt works.
Perry listened to any display with a phone.
It was cold, but the boys ran around and didn't seem to mind.
The USS Sioux City was being commissioned, so we walked over to see it.
Back at Wendy's house, we did some reading
and played with Stella.
On Saturday, we went to pizza and bowling.
He had bumpers, but I think Perry came in 3rd place out of 7. His mph was something like 3.
It was entertaining to watch him.
He also had the cutest little shoes.
A little ice cream afterward at the mall.
Their logo is a penguin, so Scott was excited.
I found the cutest display in the lego store.
And a Santa Darth Vader.
Julie bought the boys a lego set and Jonah didn't put his down.
The next day we went to a farm park to let the boys run around for a while. They spent a good hour at least on the playground then we went to see the animals.

After weeks of smoky fire air at home, it was so nice to be in the clean, clear air.

Their favorite part was the new baby piglets.
We also took Stella on a walk once or twice or three times a day. They found a "bamboo forest" and asked to visit it every day. After being cooped up indoors at home and school, the kids loved being outside again.
