Disneyland with Britta I

We got this Mickey from our next door neighbor and Jonah loves him. They snuggle at night.
We were planning a Disneyland trip in the fall, but we took Britta and used her military discount so we could go sooner and cheaper. The boys had enough money saved (with generous birthday gift cards from their great aunt) to cover their tickets and we had enough points for our hotel. There was one weekend that worked for everyone, so we packed the van and went for it.
Little loves. They did a great job on the drive down.
The World of Disney was full of Cars 3 merchandise. The boys are so excited to see it.
We got up nice and early to get to the park.
Donald and Anna were ready to go.
Scott studied the map and planned our route ahead of time. "Okay, first we'll go to number 58."
I made him stop for a traditional family picture first. Perry has really grown since our picture a year ago.
Then we saw Donald Duck! We had to say hi.
Big Donald put little Donald's 2 fingers up and said he's number 1, Jonah's number 2.
Then changed it so Jonah could be #1.
I ran to put Scott's name on the Jedi list, then met up on the ride they've been dreaming of: astro blasters. Since the park had just opened, we didn't have to wait.
We did wait for the Nemo submarine, but they loved it.
Then we met Darth Vader while we waited for Scott's appointment.
The cutest Jedi!
And the handsomest.
Showing me his force hand.
Jonah missed the 4-year cutoff, but was okay not participating. Now that he's seen Scott do it he wants to sign up next time, though.
Waiting for his turn to fight the bad guy.
He was paired against the seventh sister and did a great job fighting the empire.
We had corn dogs for lunch, but got Perry a Mickey pretzel.
I made the mistake of letting Scott steer on Autopia.
He liked to let go of the wheel and ricochet.
Then we both took him on Star Tours. It's fun having someone old enough to go on the big rides with us. It'll be great when all three boys can come and we don't take as long switching off.
The medium guys crashed hard after lunch.
Perry was still going strong. He liked running around everywhere, which was problematic in crowds, when trying to go quickly, and keeping him going one direction.
He wasn't phased by Darth Vader, though.
Little Donald Duck had endless compliments throughout the day. He soaked them all up.
Boba Fett asked if I'd turn in my family for a price.
Super dad watching the little guys while Britta and I went on Matterhorn.
It has been closed every time we've come since we got married, so I was so excited to swap and ride with John. Date night! (what we call any time we're kid free for more than a minute)
Meanwhile, Britta took all the kids on Small World and nobody fell in. Then we walked back to the hotel.
John picked the perfect room for firework viewing. It was amazing. Except I cut us off a few minutes early because I needed the kids to fall asleep. We had a big day ahead!
