Scott Turns 10

Scott chose what to do on his birthday and went straight to Galaxy's Edge before the lines got long.
Jane got some quality one-on-one time with me, my mom, and John while we switched off rides with her.
Since I'd already done the Star Wars rides, I just kept her all morning so we didn't have to spend time trading off and walking back and forth.
Lots of Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh, and a little Carousel (it makes me dizzy).
Then we went on some rides together. She got her own seat for Buzz so John and I could properly compete. He usually beats me on Astro Blasters.
Jonah was insistent that everything we do be Scott's pick and he got the best seat and first bite, etc. He is a great brother.
After Star Tours, they got to make a lightsaber in the toy shop with their Christmas gift cards from my Aunt Julie.
Thankfully it was empty and they could really take their time deciding and changing their minds multiple times.
Each piece was carefully selected and crafted.
Three happy Jedi.
Taking off on Space Mountain.
Never gets old.
Admiring the Pirates skeleton display
Amanda got a strawberry churro to try and Jane was covered in pink sugar. It was surprisingly good, better than the original!
Meeting Poodah Bear.
Indulging their sister.
Then we got castle pictures in our castle shirts.
The whole gang.
Hanging out, making our next plans.
The ladies
We went over to California Adventure for the rest of the day and Jane cashed in her Christmas gift card for a bubble wand.
It was the greatest day of her life.
It entertained her while we walked, in line,
we took a brief break for rides
then back to bubbles. She's too short for the Racers ride, so we bubbled while everyone else went. She used up a couple bottles of bubbles, but brought cheer to many little kids around the park.
The birthday boy
We hit all the favorites one last time before wearing everyone out.
Then we snuck back over to the parks again for some grown up time until we couldn't stay awake and our feet couldn't handle any more.
The next morning we went to Downtown Disney for beignets at the Jazz kitchen.
Our big 10 year old.
It was Jane's first real beignet, not from home, and she was a fan.
Then Scott opened his presents from my mom and Amanda.
Jonah found roly polies while we waited for Amanda's uber. Then we hit the road.
Back at home, Amanda brought this masterpiece over to celebrate.
The penguins were sooo cute and Scott loved it. He also loved not having to choose a cake flavor or theme. He often  likes surprises more than decision making.
The flames on the candles terrified Jane.
But she got over it when she tasted the cake.
On his birthday, Scott was 69 pounds and 4'7". His favorite food is pesto pizza, animal is penguins, movie is Star Wars, and color is teal. He can't pick a favorite book but still likes nonfiction, graphic novels, and the Wings of Fire series. He doesn't have a favorite song, but likes instrumental music like the Pixar cd.
When he grows up he wants to make video games. He loves reading in the hammock in the backyard, playing board and video games, baseball, creating Legos, and riding his bike.
