I thought it was funny that Jane kept her helmet on after scooting to the park, but since she likes to keep up with her brothers, it's not a bad plan.
Tie-dye time with Amanda. I bought them white pajamas for Christmas and it was finally time to color them.
Jane was a little fussy and lethargic so she had a cocoon day.
And fell asleep on the floor early that night.
Thankfully she slept off whatever she was fighting and woke up cheerful and energetic.
Back to her playful self.
I convinced her to try on her adorable overalls, which she was willing to do for some pictures. Then it was back to dresses.
At least it was a cute dress.
Baseball pictures, incentivized with an icee.
They loved their jammies!
Jane getting into her music class
Perry after school
Jonah practicing at the batting cages
A little popsicle for a bit tongue.
Jane agreed to wear jeans! She looks so cute, but too grown up.
Huggies after school.
John and I went on a date night to try a restaurant that's been on our list for ages. It's a black woman-owned southern food place and every single thing was amazing. Even the koolaid.
Tired girl.
Really getting the hang of that ribbon.
She will only do ribbons if they're pink or rainbow, though.
Chicken pot pie for pi day.
Grandpa pants Perry
I found bunny ears at Target and Jane got good use out of them.
O'Perry
Jane picked out donuts at the store, but had to wait an agonizingly long time to check out before she dug in.
I helped in Perry's class for an art project and he copied the example exactly. Everyone else did their own thing. What a little me.
Picking the weeds for me. Such a sweetie.
Hitching a ride
Perry teaching Jane some basic math.
I find it amusing when they read over each other's shoulders as if there's only one book in the house. It's not even a new book.
Nervous tv watchers.
Perry loved playing first base or pitcher so he could actually play. T-ball was not as active for all the positions as he was hoping.
Scott, on the other hand, preferred the outfield where there was less pressure on him.
Jonah was a great catcher.
Jane snuggling her lambie.
Perry waiting patiently for food.
After church climbing shenanigans.
Then chasing her brothers. Always so reverent.
That's one way.
Reading to her lamb.
Lunch time snack plate.
I went to the teaching store and Jane tried out all of the activities while I shopped.
Ultimate boredom waiting for me to snuggle him in bed.
Perry's note for me.
Trying to engage Jane with some reading
so she won't climb John while he works.
She requested pigtail braids, my fave.
Stealing my caprese.
Park time after music class with her friends.
Carrying the diaper bag to the car for me.
Deciding which carrot to eat. I have to peel twice as many as I need for dinner to get the right amount. Each of the kids will take one.
Where Jane spends her weekends.
Going for a walk and smelling the blooming flowers.
She sang happy birthday to her lamb all day.
Scott finds all the cool things at the park and shows them to Jane.
Perry's maker-space creation at school.
He and his best buddy work together.
Then he came over for a play date. Perry tried to read all the Elephant Piggie books to him.
Then they played the busytown game.
Jane asks all day when we can go get the boys. Perry is so good about sharing his candy from baseball games.
Jonah getting some more confidence with his batting.
I joined the Y so I could get some work done when my next semester starts. Jane tried the childcare for the first time and was clingy the rest of the day. She held my hand throughout the store.
Her turn to try the pony express game Scott used at school.
She says she's not tired, but a stroller walk says otherwise.
Reading to his sister.
Sleeping with his minion and baseball cap.
And under the pillow in my bed, no pants needed.
The Js are definitely the crazy position sleepers. Scott and Perry like to tuck in and stay still in one place all night. Jonah and Jane the complete opposite.
