California Adventure with Amanda

The next morning we went to Pim's kitchen
and tried some experiments for breakfast.
We nearly lost some kids in the marvel vortex.

John caught Perry just in time.
John took the kids on the carousel, which makes me dizzy. I got a Jack-Jack cookie num nums and my mom got the lemonade soft serve from the adorable snowman for when they got off the ride. We were serious about trying all the treats.
Then the battle of Toy Story mania, where I remain the undefeated champion.
After the first part of the trip was so cold, we were soaking up the sun.
Jane having a little snack while everyone else went on Soarin'.
Then we saw Daisy
and lots of Marvel characters. Iron Man, Black Widow, Doctor Strange, and a fun Spiderman show of him doing stunts between buildings.
While everyone did Racers, Jane and I went back to Pim's for some supersized treats. People kept stopping to point out how cute/funny little Jane was with her giant pretzel.
It was a long line, so we ordered lunch, too.
Perry enjoying the supersized candy bar.
Then it was my turn on Racers with two repeat riders.
We went on Inside Out for the first time.
And danced with Minnie and Mickey.
Then topped off the night with sundaes.
I really wanted this souvenir bowl.
The plan was to keep going until the kids lost steam, and they really impressed us.
We made it through Web-slingers
and a quick rest on Ariel. We were in the parks 12 hours the first day and 11 the second. Much longer than we expected.
The next day Amanda came down to join us, but we got an earlier start than she and Oma did.
We saw the classic characters again.
Jane was excited about each and every one.
Then we took her through hell, aka Mr Toad's ride.
And John took them all on the spinning ride. Once per trip is good for me.
Jane had a hard time missing out on big kid rides, so we're planning to wait until she's 40" to go back. It takes a lot of time to baby swap each time. She liked doing little rides one-on-one with me, John, or my mom, though. I think she went on Winnie the Pooh a dozen+ times.
The family rides are the best, though. She knows how to handle a blaster.
Perry would run up to a character and ask for a picture in front of them. Even though we couldn't meet them, it made it much faster to see them without lines.
He also found C3PO
he took a little walk with Jane, who was about his size.
Everyone did Star Wars again while Jane and I went on "Poodah Bear."
Perry was not phased by anything scary. I think watching the youtube videos ahead of time helped.
This was Perry's first trip that he can remember doing. He was a trooper through a lot of sensory overload and being off his usual routine.
Playing a little sabacc while waiting for our smuggler's run.
Another character, another picture of Perry.
Yaya Amanda made it! And we got food.
Studying the map while we had lunch and tried some of Maurice's treats. The donut holes weren't repeats for us, but the frozen apple drink is always a favorite.
After a few more rides, we went over to the animation studio.
Everyone had to get their character assignment. And some of us twice when we didn't like the first one.
All together for Web Slingers.
Glasses on,
webs out

ready to go.
Meeting Spidey.
Beautiful California sunset in California Adventure.
Amanda and I took the adventure seeker on the Incredicoaster. We did the single rider line and he bravely went on his own.
Another run through Mania to solidify my position against Amanda, too.
The kids were starting to wear down, but some of them still wanted to do more. So John and Amanda took Perry and Jonah on Guardians while Scott went on the single rider for Goofy's Flight School over and over.
Jane was devastated about being too short, so I took her on the zephyr and my mom got dinner.
I mobile ordered the kids food and my poor mom ate her salad on the run while the kids started to lose it.
They crashed quickly and we sneaked back out.
This time with Amanda! I wanted a flavored dole whip, which was great, but the lumpia was to die for. Definitely a new favorite.
She was ready to go, but John and I were running on fumes at this point. We stayed and played for a while, then went back and crashed.
