The day after Christmas, we took advantage of some time off and got out of the house for a hike. I love our colorful mask picture.
We were the only ones around, which is nice because we can let the kids run free.
Perry loves climbing rocks.
We stopped here and had lunch with a view.
Such a beautiful December day.
Jane wanted down and ate while roaming free.
John let Jane out for the last leg of the hike back to the van.
She goes slowly, but it's nice to get some of her energy out, too.
Then as we got in the car, John jumped the fence and the backpack caught and he landed poorly on his foot.
Thankfully we were at the end, next to the car, because he could not walk on it. He iced and elevated at home to see if it was okay or needed medical attention. Always an adventure.
