Christmas 2020

We had a quiet Christmas at home this year.
Well, as quiet as it gets with four little kids.
The kids took turns opening gifts and playing with them.
Jane couldn't decide if she was more excited about her penguin or goldfish.
We called or skyped with family throughout the day and took our time opening presents on and off at the kids' pace.
We tried to get the boys some outdoor activities to keep them entertained in the backyard or at the park. The bow and arrow set was a big hit for Scott, plus we got bocce ball and laser tag and a movie projector. We're leveling up our shelter in place set-up.
Amanda came over for a little backyard visit to exchange presents. Her big gift from our aunts and uncle was a new blender. She was in heaven.
We had a traditional dinner, but the real highlight was this cheesecake. Even without the topping, it was the best cheesecake I've maybe ever had. I can't wait for John to make it again.
We're looking forward to spending holidays with more family again in the future, but it was still a lovely day with just us at home together.
