Coyote Hills Hike

After I forgave nature for the miserable week of poison oak, John found another place to hike that was supposed to be poison-free.
We drove up to Fremont and found the most beautiful park with lots of open trails.
The kids ran up the hills, but we were a little slower and heavier breathing by the top.
Sharing his water bottle.
Scott flew across the paths. He'll be a great cross country runner one day.
They love maps, even though we don't usually use them.
Jane was a happy hiker.
There were foghorns coming from out in the marshes.
When the boys ran ahead it was practically a date.
The birds swimming out left pretty trails in the water.

Jonah tried the anise seed and loved it.
After walking a couple miles we went to the nectar garden. We didn't see many butterflies, but it felt like a cool secret garden.
There were different plants and paths and landscape.
I could've stayed there all day it was so peaceful.
Eventually we left to use the bathrooms. We went through the visitor's center and I took a picture of Jane on the bench while we waited for John.
This was further from our house than I'd prefer, but it was such a great location it was worth the trip. Hopefully Amanda can join us next time and it'll be even better.
