Cedric Visits

I waited until right before their trip to tell the boys Uncle Ricky was coming. They were SO excited.
They love "Baby" Cedric.
Perry liked having a little friend around.
I think we overwhelmed the poor kid.
He loved pushing the doll stroller.
Playing in the chairs.
His excited face is amazing!
This boy needs a train set asap.
Preferably sent in bubble wrap.
Running around the play room
Popping bubble wrap. It's the simple things.
Perry tried to copy Ced's crawling.
Cedric's tan, skinny leg next to Perry's pale, chunky one. He's 9 months older and only 2 pounds heavier.
Also on the play agenda: light sabers.
Lots and lots of light sabers.
And a quick vacuuming.

Cedric is Perry's closest in age cousin. I'm excited for them to have each other as they grow up.
Showing off some dance moves.
Little side-eye on the slide.
More noodle fights
Serious battle face
And happy smiley face.
The play tent was a little crowded.
Some side-by-side play with the kitchen food.
And some climbing on/
fighting over Jess.
Happy little guy. He won't smile for the camera, but he smiles all the time while he plays.

Dancing on the floor.

Staying up late with the grown-ups to watch a movie
Snuggle time with Rick
Fueling up for another fun day. I think he ate mostly raspberries. He and Jonah are fruit loving twins.
Amanda came over and the kids were all in bed, so we spent some quality time on our phones.
Right before they flew out I made all the boys sit outside for a quick group shot.
They didn't all look at me at the same time, but they're both pretty cute.
We loved having sweet Cedric visit and want him to come back already.

Uvas Canyon with the Fenders

We wanted to take the boys out for a walk/hike before it got colder, so we drove out to Uvas Canyon.
Perry likes being outside and loves being held.
We hiked down to the waterfall so Scott and Jonah could throw rocks in the river.
We walked back up to meet our friends and use the bathrooms before going on a longer loop.
There is some incline and are a few places where the kids could fall, but most of the trail is stress-free for me. And shaded, which is nice.
They love Lulu.
Hiking with friends is even more fun and we're looking forward to another trip together.

October II

Perry drooling from blowing so many raspberries.
 Such lovely posture
This handsome boy memorized his part for primary and said it perfectly in front of everyone. I was so impressed. He overcame his shyness and was proud of his accomplishment.
All four of his grandparents came to see him say his part. And one great grandparent.
His brothers slept through most of the meeting.
I shared my pumpkin roll from a friend and John loved it. Perry was very grabby, like he is with all food now.
Helpful Jonah keeping Perry's spoon in action. Jonah dressed himself again.
Perry pulls hair, but Jonah can't keep away from him.
Put himself down for a little nap.
Charlotte still loves holding Perry. Britta held him for a while at the park, which I appreciate because he's getting heavy.
Sweet little love with his arm rolls.
Grocery shopping while Scott was at preschool. Jonah was helping me pull the cart and keeping Perry happy.
He loves Perry a little too much some times.
Perry has to be barricaded when he eats if he's not being held or else he rolls over and can't get any milk.
We've been trying not to let Jonah nap, but every few days he just crashes.
Doing some exercises with friends. We also played freeze dance to get some wiggles out since it was a rainy day.
I gave Amanda Harry Potter symphony tickets for her birthday and we went together. It was beautiful and really fun because they showed the movie as well.
I went jogging one Saturday morning and had my headphones in. I thought I heard something behind me, look back, and Jonah's chasing after me. He didn't want me to leave him.
Scott eating a "cracker sandwich" lunch. He even put a craisin in it so it'd have a bite of everything.
As I'm reminded by strangers almost daily, these boys keep us busy. I love looking back at the month and remembering the sweet and funny things they did and said.
