Monterey

The next morning, we used Karen's membership to go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
The first thing Jonah said was, "Wow! A dinosaur!" Wrong museum, kiddo.
It was crowded for a Wednesday, but we weren't in a hurry.
The wave tunnel is still a favorite.
It was a beautiful day out, so we actually spent a lot of time outside this time.
Sleepy boy in his whale sweater.
We saw the scuba class, which Jonah wants to try out when he's old enough. Scott not so much, but maybe that'll change in a few years.
We saw a whale spout spraying water, but I was watching instead of taking pictures.
We watched the penguins long enough for John to know their names, which was funny.

My little babies

The water play area is another favorite.
We had lunch in the cafe, since we weren't ready to leave yet at lunch time.
I fed Perry in the dark balcony while watching the big tank. It was delightful.
Then the kids played in the kids area
and we went outside again.

Then we walked down Cannery Row to Ghirardelli. We shared a sundae, but it might be the last time we can get away with only one.
I took pictures of my cute, sweet baby while everyone took turns in the bathroom.
Then we rode the free city trolley back over to the aquarium.
Before we knew it, our trip was over and we were headed home. After a quick stop at the Parker Lusseau Bakery, that is.
