Slow and Steady Progress

John has been spending a few nights each week and most Saturdays on this house project.
He tore out the rest of the paneling and I took down the ceiling.
Then he knocked out the "laundry room" walls.
His next step was moving the hot water heater. Getting the old, corroded pipes off was beastly.
Physically moving it took mere seconds.
Then he ran the pipes for hot water, cold water, and gas.
Scott was an ever so helpful headlamp buddy.
After fixing several leaks into the wee hours of the morning, we had water and gas again in our house.
Then John added shiny new ventilation and it's ready to be strapped down and housed in the corner.
It was a lot of expense and work for a small change, but the pipes needed to be replaced and we think it'll help the room feel more like living space.
Meanwhile, we bought a 3rd bookcase half price at Target and rearranged them next to each other. Amazing how full it already is. (The sign is for a HP party I'm preparing for book club)
We painted over the primed door a mere 2 years, 11 months after getting it-- "Anonymous" by Behr.
I bought this vinyl house number sticker from an Etsy shop (Welcomingwalls) for $6 and love it.
