Devil Baby

Scott is a really sweet boy. When he puts on his devil outfit, though, his evil side comes out.
He chews on the electrical cords in the living room.
He pulls down the books from his bookcase.
He plays with the shoes in our bedroom.
All of that mischiefing exhausts him.
Thanks Wendy & Julie for the fun outfit!

Harry Potter Night

For book club we had a catch-up/movie night and I chose Harry Potter. As SPEW members our house elf gets off early, so we were on our own for the night.
Scott and John helped me cook and set up. Then they made themselves scarce for the ladies-only evening.
You entered Hogwarts through Platform 9 3/4 of course.
Trunk and supplies all packed.
The restricted section of the library.
Amanda brought some of her HP collection to help decorate.
There was an enchanted ceiling with floating candles,
a drink station,
cauldron cakes,
treacle tarts,
pumpkin pasties,
chocolate frogs,
ton-tongue toffee,
and of course butterbeer.
A few spoils from Honeydukes and Weasley's Wizard Wheezes (like U-No-Poo, "the constipation sensation that's gripping the nation!")
It was fun making some British treats we've wanted to try and remembering parts of our favorite book series.

Scott the Shark

Scott sent his cousins Halloween cards. Miss Sadie requested more Scott the Shark.
We took him to JCPenney for the pictures.
 He hammed it up again.
It's trickier to get pictures now because he wants to crawl
and chew his tasty fin.

We're his fans.

34 Weeks

This video is older, but it's still one of Scott's favorite things to do. He has a hard time passing the vent in the hall without a strum or two.
He also still loves attacking his dad's ear. And his teeth are sharp!
We went for a family walk every day this week. Scott loves the park.
They were supporting their baseball team.
Scott has learned how to pull books from the shelf. I put his board books on the bottom so he can play with them whenever he'd like.
He prefers to play with people, though.
Getting ready for a walk. Scott didn't like being buckled in because then he couldn't reach the bar to chew.
Enjoying a snack before bed.
He loves cords. He pulled John's phone charger out of the bedroom socket and carried it around the house.
He pulls himself up in bed and chews on the crib rail until we pick him up.
Miss Vici gave Scott some water bottle ice packs when he was teething and he fell in love with them. Anything he can crawl with and chew on seem to be favorites.
He's still figuring out how to feed himself.
One night he was being particularly aggressive, so I put his mittens on. He chewed on them
then became a slap happy little penguin.
Saturday we went to the Buddy Walk with Carrie. There were hundreds of people and we had a lot of fun.
Scott sporting his 2t shirt. John had to miss it for his Great-Great-Aunt Marilyn's funeral.
Scott figured out how to climb into the shower. He looks so surprised to be found out.
We have some family in town for the funeral. Stori in particular loves babying Scott. Unfortunately he's a chunk and she's petite.
While at Grandma and Grandpa's Scott decided to try out the stairs.
After a couple wobbly steps, he took the rest of them unassisted and made it to the top (with Pooh Bear in hand).
How did he figure that out? And when did he get so big??

Amanda's 21

Scott was busy all day getting ready for Amanda's birthday celebration.
 He helped wrap her gifts
 and tidy the house
 by running the dishwasher.
Loading the soap is always Amanda's favorite part, too.
We made toffee and hot milk cake.
 And put up some decorations.
Then he went crazy staying up late waiting for the guests to arrive.
 Sitting with Russell
while watching Amanda open her 21 presents (with Tay)
Then Scott crashed and missed out on singing and dessert.
We hope you had a fun birthday Manda!
