Monday in Bellingham

On Monday, we had school and work.
The little kids played
Two peas in a pod
and tried not to be too distracting.
Luckily it was conference week, so the boys only had half days.
Because we were ready to get out and do something fun.
Jane played with this net outside
while Ced helped Mal on the swings.
Then he returned the favor.
Jane also needed some swing time.
She was loving the backyard.
The play structure was too much fun.
She and Malcolm even shared a space without tears.
When the littlest two went down for naps and the oldest two finished school, we went for a walk.
The trail took us to the beach.
A train and tunnel and water, everything the kids could ask for.
Jonah cannot stay out of water.
It was not the cleanest or a sandy beach, but there were ample rocks for throwing.
Plus it was just down the road from their house.
We were all happy to get out and explore.
Perry and I walked a little slower
and had a few Perry way detours.
Little buddies on the trail back.
We saw beehives along the train tracks.
And stopped to pick the last blackberries of the season. We all want to come back in the summer.
Scott found a bow used for a stage prop and used stick arrows for it.
Jonah macgyvering toys to play with.
Jane petting my dad's car.
Cute buddies in the play house.
Scott having some reading time.
Jane loved their door handles because she could open doors.
Looking for some vegetables in the garden.
Got a little too comfortable sitting on the garden box.
She found an easier produce source.
My little cutie.
Jammied up and ready for bed.
The tiny supervisors inspecting John's sweeping job.
It was the best school/work day we've had in ages.
