John's Birthday and Father's Day

The boys got out early on the last day of school, so we went to lunch with John to celebrate his birthday. The boys really get their money's worth at Sweet Tomatoes.
Scott had an old man dessert--jello and tapioca pudding.
For his gift and our date, we went to see Hamilton at the Orpheum. They released several more months of tickets, so the price was way lower and the wait was finally over. We loved it. It was worth my ligament pain from sitting too long and John's car being peed on (twice). John's been listening to the soundtrack ever since, which I've had for over 3 years already!
Perry helped me make John his favorite dessert--carrot cake.
Then he impatiently waited to eat it.
Another great year with this great guy. It's his 11th birthday we've celebrated together! Which means probably 11 carrot cakes.
On Father's Day, we got up early and went to the first dedication of the Oakland Temple. It was a beautiful meeting with lots of wonderful speakers and we enjoyed being able to go together and talk about everything on our quiet drive home.
The boys were anxiously awaiting our return so they could give John his presents they picked out. Crispix cereal, a little Star Wars lego, and ring pops.
We had a barbecue and lemon curd cheesecake for dessert.
John shared his ring pops with the boys and we went on a long family walk.
John does so much for our family, and has been picking up a lot of my slack this pregnancy, so it was nice to have a week set aside to celebrate him a little extra.
