Easter

The Friday afternoon before Easter we went to an egg hunt with some families in our ward. We each brought a dozen filled eggs per child, hid them, then the kids found them.
Scott found this Darth Vader egg and loved it. He became disinterested in egg hunting after that.
Some of the kids found the extras and Scott was interested in their piles.
I wish I hadn't focused on someone's hair instead of Scott because his excitement was over the top.
The kids went through and picked their 12 based on candy preference and we picked 11 from their reject pile to take home. Luckily all Scott cared about was the plastic egg.
Easter morning Scott found his basket magically refilled with some of his favorite things.
 He was really sleepy.
He found a puzzle and Teddy Grahams, but preferred the bucket and shovel. He loves playing with them and the tanbark at the park.
My parents and sister came over for Easter brunch. We had cinnamon rolls, French toast with fat sauce, scrambled eggs, ham, fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice from our tree.
Scott liked all the food.
Then we quickly changed for church. Scott's shoes stayed on about 15 seconds.
He was ready to nap and started whining to get down. He held this "rattle" that my dad brought to cheer him up. This was the best we took.
Then Scott fell asleep on the way to church and stayed conked on my lap through sacrament meeting. Easter can be so exhausting when you're one.
We look pretty much the same as last year, but I'm not sure what happened to that tiny baby.

  1. I love that out of focus picture of Scott hunting for eggs. You look pretty in both Easter pictures, but John looks substantially more rested this year than he did last year. :)
