Universal Studios

Our second vacation day we went to check out the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Hogwarts Express
Hogsmeade in winter, but curiously no Christmas decorations. Honeydukes
Dervish and Banges. Scott napping in the baby pack.
Hogwarts!
The inside was a cool Harry Potter ride
The line went through castle rooms, such as Dumbledore's office, Potions in the dungeon, Herbology greenhouse, entrance to Gryffindor's dormitories, etc.
The other two rides were just re-purposed roller coasters.
In line for the Flight of the Hippogriff.
Scott was mesmerized.
Scott was too excited watching to look at the camera.
Wendy and John baby swapped Scott so I rode it twice.
Then we tried some frozen Butterbeer. It was really sweet, but yummy. I'd like it hot, but I suppose they wouldn't sell many in Florida.
They're definitely Gryffindor-biased.
Then we had lunch at the Three Broomsticks. Scott liked the cup of water.
Family picture before we left. It was definitely a cool place, but way too small for my liking.
We went through Seuss Landing, which was Christmas-fied. John and Scott with some Whos.
Scott really wanted to try the Caro-seuss-el.
As you can see.
he was really excited.
He buckled in with his dad
and gave me some cheese smiles. Then the lady said John had to stand next to him not on the ride with him and Scott cried until John just took him off the ride.
We went on a fish ride which he liked.
Then we saw a performance of the Lorax.
Then we headed back to Downtown Disney for the evening. We tried Earl of Sandwich for dinner, which was amazing, and shared a Ghirardelli sundae for dessert. It doesn't get much better than that.

  1. Harry Potter land looks amazing. They never let you ride with your baby, and they always cry, and I feel like they are less secure that way too. Dumb rules!
