The last day of our trip. Scott's face cracks me up.
We had his Mickey ears embroidered with his name.
He liked meeting Mike and Sulley. It seemed the fluffier the character, the better.
John tried out the new Star Tours four times. Then he and Scott hopped on a speeder bike.
Scott smiled and squealed, making people stop to see what the baby noise was all about. We're not sure what exactly he was so happy about, but John claims he knew instinctively it was from Star Wars.
Group shot with the aunts and sleeping boy.
The coolest part of Hollywood studios was the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights.
Complete with snow.
Mesmerized all around.
There are millions of lights and they set them to Christmas songs. It is so cool.
It was a great way to end a really fun trip. Thanks to my aunts for helping with Scott so John and I could go on big kid rides.
John had never been to Animal Kingdom, so it was new for all of us.
They had some fun rides and a cool safari. It was like the jungle cruise, but a bus instead of a boat, real animals, and less corny jokes.
We haven't taken Scott to a zoo yet and we think he liked seeing all the new animals. I liked seeing them in a beautiful, more natural habitat rather than small cages.
For John's birthday we gave him a SCUBA tour at EPCOT. He was excited to finally go. Disney World has the 2nd largest saltwater tank in the world.
Wendy, Scott and I toured some of the aquarium while we waited for John to swim by. Scott loved crawling all over the carpeted floor until he saw Dad, then we went and banged on the glass.
This is from another ride at EPCOT. Scott's first SCUBA experience.
Julie gave Scott this cute Mickey hoodie. We went back to the hotel to relax a little and Scott explored the entire room.
The next day we went back to EPCOT. Scott was ready with his Mickey shoes
and his big 5-tooth smile.
Enjoying a boat tour of The Land. I just read about the food there in an essay in Food, Inc. EPCOT is an interesting place because it's always changing, since it's about progress and technology.
Another cool part of EPCOT is the section featuring several countries around the world. Scott met Tigger and Pooh in England. He LOVED them. He was smiling, reaching for them and started giggling like a crazy baby.
The characters' assistants were cracking up at him. I tried to get some on video. He kept laughing even after we left.
In France we stopped to watch a street show. This guy did a handstand on top of three chairs and a big wine bottle.
Family visit to Morocco
Scott found a fountain.
The kid loves water.
Japan, where we had dinner.
Scott had some pb&j while we had teppanyaki.
Scott was a pretty patient little guy all week and rides on dad's shoulders helped.
cute little Mickey bum.
In America, Scott met Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Once he turned and saw who was holding him he started crying.
Ready to go to Germany.
Our dinner reservations gave us access to the Candlelight Processional, which had choirs, an orchestra and Blair Underwood narrating the Christmas story.
It was a really beautiful performance and we enjoyed every minute.
They also have one at Disneyland, so we recommend it to anyone who visits Disney at Christmastime.
Wendy took this family picture at Downtown Disney.
We rode the ferry there and Scott was in heaven.
It was his first boat ride and he loves water.
We crashed hard.
The next day we went to Magic Kingdom. After the Pirates ride, we saw this shirt:
Jungle cruising. Perhaps if he'd had an edge seat he would have liked it as much as the ferry.
The Haunted Mansion had cool activities while you wait in line.
Scott's favorites being shoulder rides and chewing a water bottle.
The New Fantasyland was mostly all open, so we went on the Little Mermaid storybook ride. The animatronics are amazing. Ariel's hair flows.
Then we went to Gaston's tavern.
They sell pork shanks, but we opted to try LeFou's Brew, which was a delcious frozen apple drink with a mango marshmallow topping. (Apparently it's also Red's Apple Freeze at California Adventure's Cars Land)
There's an interactive attraction where guests can act with Belle.
Scott in his Mickey shirt and shoes.
Scott so nervous for Peter Pan
Scott found a perfectly-sized door.
Trying to pull the sword from the stone
Trying to eat the sword in the stone.
Trying out an Ewok hat. The cast member working at the Star Wars store tried all the hats on Scott.
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh had a great line with activities for kids to do.
There wasn't much of a line, but we let Scott roam and explore.
He loved crawling after a long day of the stroller and being held.
The freedom!
It was fun for big kids, too.
We went on the Dumbo ride (there are two now!) late when it was lit up and pretty.
Scott probably scheming a way to get in that water.
Then we left the aunts to their late partying ways and headed back to the hotel for some sleep.
Of course we enjoyed the fireworks show on our walk out.
