We've been hunting with the parents to find something suitable. Open houses are ideal, but occasionally we resort to peeking through windows.
Speaking of houses, we went by one of John's childhood homes in Santa Cruz. 
He said the whole area has shrunk a lot since then.
Mom would peek through windows... I remember driving by the house in Santa Cruz a while ago and it definitely did shrink.
