SIP Week 19: July 19-25

My little Perry and his dirty feet sleeping and sweating in my bed.
We went for a walk around Almaden Lake on Sunday afternoon.
Jane loves being outside.
Throwing rocks
It was a hot day and there wasn't much shade, but it was close to home and a flat, short walk.
I took the kids for a walk and Scott pushed Jane in the stroller. I love my little duckling chain.
We attempted a tiny ponytail.
Playing roll the ball together.
Jane in the wild.
They let her take a turn with the stomp rocket. It was really cute because she didn't have much force.
She loved it though.
Some weird shirt over their head game.
Our friend was out of town and let us use her pool one afternoon.
The kids were in absolute heaven.
Jane the water loving baby was splashing and shrieking and kicking.
It was possibly the happiest she's ever been.
Cooling off and getting out and doing something different, it was perfect.
I love seeing the kids do chores simultaneously. It feels like a perfect family moment.
The mischief maker at work. Contraband in hand and getting into the dresser. You never know what you'll find in drawers anymore thanks to Jane.
We've been trying to get her to sleep without a bottle when possible.
She discovered where we keep the baby food pouches and helped herself to one.
We had a picnic at the park. Perry was SO excited and it made me realize we should do more of these simple, fun, childhood activities.
Jane mostly ran around while we ate.
Then we played some baseball.
Playing with her favorite, the ax.
Doing some oragami
and kids exercise videos.
One of our neighbors let us use her pool and I took the kids to practice swimming. Jane threw a colossal, adorable fit when it was time to go. She really loves the water, but was also exhausted and fell asleep on the way home.
Scott picking his next book and looking like a teenager with his long legs.
Assuming the nap position.
After her many pokes at the doctor, we gave Jane ice cream.
She seemed to think it was a fair traide.
Proof that Jonah goes to bed in a normal position, looking like a sarcophagus even. Then by the time he's asleep all bets are off and he's never once stayed this way.
Now that she's one, she's ready to start scooting.
Scott made a little bed for his penguin that he sets up when he makes his bed in the morning.
Perry has been aiming to practice his bike for a few minutes each day.
Jane and I walked with him for encouragement.
Another day Jane and I went for a walk alone while John was on a call and needed less shrieking.
We only went a few houses and headed back, but she liked leading the way and setting the pace.
Jane steals our hats and brings them to us to put on her.
She doesn't love her hat, though.
She tried donuts, also a fan.
Next up was Perry's four year checkup.
They wanted him to come in because he was due for vaccines. We did a preschool workbook while we waited.
Trying to and nearly succeeding at climbing in the tub.
She just needs to stand on a towel and she'll have it. I give her another week to figure it out.
