Inspired by his siblings, John decided we needed a peach pie, so we made one Sunday. I tried a lattice crust (higher crust:pie ratio) and it turned out well. I love having John's parents for dinner because it means we need dessert.
Tonight they came for dinner and we had NO dessert. We rectified the situation at Cold Stone. Raspberry Almond Sweet Cream was the ice cream of choice. This is the post-dessert pose:
I always get raspberries and almonds in sweet cream. Yum. I do the lattice top with spaces in between thereby decreasing the amount of crust, so I don't usually do it because I love crust. I will try your method now so I can get more crust.
ReplyDeleteMmmmm, peach pie sounds good. And Raspberry almond sweet cream is such a good flavor choice.
ReplyDeleteWill you make an apple pie at Christmas time? I get so jealous looking at all these Crapo blogs and not being able to partake in the pies.
ReplyDeleteThe pie was really good. Thanks for baking and sharing. The raspberries and almonds in sweet cream was excellent as usual.
ReplyDeleteWe all look so gluttonous posing on the couch in our sweet cream and raspberry/almond coma. I can't deny the truth of the matter --Dessert is my favorite part of the meal!
