August I

A little switch in their fort.
Hanging in the hammock.
Perry wanted to see what color his eyes were.
Jane learning how to dress herself in a skirt.
Ready to go.
Backwards, but close enough.
Jane got a turn on the switch for the first time and everyone was eager to watch.
They eventually got banished for being overly helpful.
Giving her bun bun a snuggle after his bath.
She looks like a little doll in this sweater our friend made her.
hammock napping
Sleeping in Scott's bed.
Taking his turn in the hammock.
Reading every chance they get.
With some games mixed in.
Amanda brought Jane's birthday cake down and she gave her some serious side-eye, but loved the bunny.
My mom came to visit for the first time in a year and a half for what was going to be Jonah's baptism, but instead helped me out while I had a minor medical procedure.
While I was at home recovering, John and my mom took the kids to the Van Gogh exhibit in San Francisco.
Jonah found the tiniest lizard.
Jane found some movies and put them in her shorts for safe keeping.

Scott said he beat Perry at chess, but took some heavy losses.
We had no idea Perry even knew how to play chess. Very impressive. He learns a lot from his brothers, for better or worse.
Jane trying to eat the cheese as fast as my mom grates it.
She dressed herself and didn't include a shirt.
She ran an errand with us and brought all her friends.
Then back home for a smoothie.
Perry had his first in-person speech session.
I invited someone to come swim laps with me at the pool and she brought Jane this fun towel.
Taco Bell time with Oma. It's tradition.
Jane making her bed on our floor where she slept while Scott was in her bed.
She wanted to dress herself but couldn't quite get it.
Nap crash
Backyard girls movie night.
We found this giant spider web.
Trying to catch goldfish in her mouth.
Where'd Jane go?
Here she is!
Adding a little sticker flair to the whole house.
It was nice to see more of our extended families this month and see Jane start to warm up to people.
