San Francisco Day Trip

I wanted to go up to the city one day, but didn't know what was open or safe, plus kid-friendly. We decided to just cross the bridge and get Ghirardelli.

It was a gorgeous day and we were happy to be out of the house and on an adventure that wasn't more hiking.
The wind and passing cars made the bridge very loud.
Jonah was death gripping my hand the whole time. We turned back halfway because he was so nervous.
Perry loved it.
Since we had more time on the parking meter, we went exploring in the area.

We walked over to Crissy Field.

We had a picnic lunch, then John went to get the van.

I stayed and let the kids run around while we waited.

They both wanted a turn holding the chunky baby.

Then we got ice cream, as promised and long-anticipated.
We're still waiting for the children's masks we ordered. Perry looked like a bandit in mine.
We usually share sundaes, but they all chose to have their own single scoop instead.
The stores at the square were all closed, so we walked around a bit.
Then went along the beach on the way back to the parking lot.
If there's water, the kids will be entertained.
It was nice to get out and brave something different for the day. Although we are looking forward to the day when museums, playgrounds, baseball games, theaters, and everything else we love in San Francisco opens up again.
