Carmel Date

My mom wanted to go to the aquarium and I had the brilliant idea to have her use Karen's passes to take the kids while we went on a date in Carmel.
First brunch at a restaurant called Casanova that John heard about. It was amazing. I had french toast with fresh berries. We walked by several other places that we wanted to try as well. Guess we'll have to go back.
Then I bought the boys matching dress shirts at Janie and Jack there. The store by us is always picked through, so it's hard to get all 3 sizes of something and it's never too early to prep for Christmas. Then the highlight of the day: a bunch of delicious samples at the Cheese Shop.
We ate until our parking time was up, then bought some of our favorites to enjoy at home. We picked up the munchkins and walked back to the van. Perry is wearing new shoes because we forgot to bring him some and had to stop at Target.
It's so beautiful there. We'd love to move to the area. We drove by several lovely homes for sale along the beach, the least expensive was only 7 million.
We had a great time and all for the price of the tickets we didn't have to buy. Maybe we can convince Karen to repeat the trip with us next time.
