Disneyland

After napping most of the day at the park, we were concerned that Perry would keep us up all night, but he pulled his longest stretch yet and slept 8 straight hours. It was awesome.
Even though Monday went well, we were grateful and excited to have Karen with us for Tuesday. The boys wore their matching Star Wars shirts from Christmas.
The first ride of the day was Astro Blasters, as requested by Scott.
John ran and got fast passes to Star Tours and Hyper Space Mountain while we rode it because the lines were just starting to fill.
We went to get Indiana Jones fast passes and met the Genie!
Remembering Grandma Blank while going on Pirates.
I took Jonah and Perry to the air conditioned Star Wars exhibits while the others rode Star Tours. He found BB8!
Then we found Kylo Ren and Jonah was terrified.
We met up at the Jedi Training Academy. Scott did not want to participate and Jonah was too young. Hopefully next time they can do it together.
I took Scott on Space Mountain, which had some Star Wars added in.
I didn't know how he'd react, since it's the biggest roller coaster he's been on.
When I asked him if he liked it, he said, "Yes! But I don't want to go again." The picture cracked me up because his little head barely peeks over!
We went on the Haunted Mansion, then the boys saw Woody and wanted to meet him. Karen took a picture of us with him.
Then we swapped Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and touring the Riverboat.
I thought after Space Mountain, Scott would be hesitant about the roller coaster, but he totally loved it.
The Princess and the Frog characters were on the boat. Tiana had a line, but Louis didn't and Jonah ran right in for a hug.
We went into Toon Town--another place I didn't appreciate as much before having kids.
One of the highlights of the trip was meeting Mickey.
Jonah was in his element.
There was nobody behind us in line. The cast member took lots of pictures for us and the boys got to spend a few minutes with their favorite character.
Then they told John to bring Perry over to see Mickey.
Such a great experience!
In a fabulous mood.
Then they literally ran to Gadget's Go Coaster. Karen stayed with Perry so we could all ride together. It was nice having an extra baby holder for rides like this.
John held Perry and checked out the Star Wars exhibit while we went on Autopia.
Jonah did not start out in the driver's seat.
He is a wild driver.
John found the cardholder picture, so we all went over to get a group shot.
They're not sure about Kylo Ren. He was scary--heavy boots and creepy voice, tall and in a dark room.
He tried to recruit Perry to the dark side.
We went on Indiana Jones together! It was like the old days! Karen had to be somewhere Monday and wasn't going to come, but decided last minute to join us for the second day and we're so glad.
We planned to leave after dinner to get an earlier start driving home, but wanted to squeeze in the Nemo submarine ride.
The boys were being silly in line and I captured Jonah's pure joy face.
Scott told me he was scared last time because he was only two, but now he's big and not scared. Jonah, naturally, was not afraid at all.
Then we were heading out of the park and I made everyone stop for a castle picture.
We found someone to take one of all of us together. You can feel the magic in this picture.
Then we figured what's one or two less hours of sleep anyway, so we went on Dumbo.
My uncle sent the boys the movie for Christmas, so they were familiar with the story and couldn't wait to fly.
His face!
I could barely get Jonah to look at me because he was mesmerized by the lights and water.
John picked up sandwiches and beignets from Downtown Disney, then came back for us and we headed home. We took turns driving back, with Karen taking the brutal 3rd shift. It was a quick, but perfect trip and we already can't wait to go back.
