St. Patrick's Day

We had some mischievous visitors. The boys said it was worth cleaning up the mess for all the chocolate coins.
Jane wore her green dress.
And played with the magformers while her brothers cleaned up the leprechaun mess.
And she did some light reading.
Supervising their work.
Then they ate the Lucky Charms they discovered in the play room.
And our fancy dinner of shamrock ravioli and brussel sprouts.
I love low key holiday celebrations that the kids get excited about.

SIP Week 52: Mar 7-13

Jane loves Perry's scooter.
Other favorites include: daddy, watching what someone is doing on screens, snacks
That's some excitement.
Perry spent several days playing with his car mat. I love when the kids rediscover an old toy.
On the lookout for tomatoes to steal.
Another day, another walk around the neighborhood.
Where'd Janie go?
There she is!
Walking with John
Taking a break for a rock climb
Helping bring in the groceries and she found Scott's favorite--frozen waffles, to take to him.
Climbing
climbing
and more climbing. Made harder with the dress and a snack in hand.
Giving the shark a little hug.
Jane woke up in a mood.
So I took her for a walk. Instant happiness.
Movie night
Works every time.
Begging to go out again. Jane lives for the outdoors.
Silly girl on the slide.
Playing like a big kid.
Then crashing like a baby.
She got into the bin of too-small-clothes for our neighbor and wanted to put these jammies on,
Jonah doing schoolwork and Perry doing self-assigned work.
Once she's vaccinated, we need to get Jane into gymnastics or tumbling class.
She will love it.
Jonah helped her get dressed and was very proud of the matchiness.
Family bike ride to the middle school.
Jane wanted to take her own bike, but quickly learned the benefit of the faster ride.
A quick picture of Scott in his weekly dance class.
If we give him some privacy, he gets into the routine and does a great job. I want to respect his space, but also love watching him.

Los Alamitos Hike

Jane woke up ready for an adventure.
I tried a tiny braid to keep her hair out of her eyes, and we were set to go.
We went to Almaden to hike along Los Alamitos creek.
It was more of a walk.
But lots of opportunities for rock throwing.
She had to find just the right one.
Scott climbed a tree
and Jane wanted to copy,
but quickly discovered she did not like it up there.
Back to the rocks.
We also found some duckies.
There was a ton of poison oak and the boys were whining a lot, so it was a short and slightly stressful outing, but we got out into nature, so it counts.

SIP Week 51: Feb 28-Mar 6

Having a snuggle with some favorites: penguin and daddy.

Leading the way!
Hiding her paci down her pajamas so she doesn't have to hand it over until bedtime.
Playing together with the park to themselves.
A rare sight--Jane in jeans.
The wand chooses the witch
If a screen's on, there are likely 4 little sets of eyes nearby.
Chewie in her pink sneakers
She picked her Cardinals romper, yellow bow, and boots boots.
Perry and I had an ice cream date. He gave it a thumbs up.
Kicking her basketball in her baseball outfit.
with a tiny ponytail
Jane has been falling asleep while we watch tv at night. Not a great habit, but it works.
Wendy sent Scott sugar cookies for his birthday to make ice cream sandwiches.
Little chef, big potholders.
Perry made Jane a tiny train track to play with.
Jane got a new bun bun.
It was love at first hug.
Getting on tip toe to help with the groceries
Backyard picnic lunches, most days.
I am obseessed with Boden pinnies.
She doesn't hold still much for pictures anymore.
She loves Perry's scooter
He does not love that she loves it.
All tuckered out
She wanted to try the big kid swing.
Her little feet are too cute
If she can't see you, you can't see her.
There she is!
Our silly girl.
