July II

phone pics

Coming home from Pinecrest, Jonah crashed as soon as we drove away. Scott pretended to sleep, which is always funny.
Later they swapped.
John played church softball and I watched the boys at the park. They buried their toy planes, then dug them back up. Over and over and over.
Filling in their Cheerio books. I kept hearing Scott scold Jonah for eating the pieces. (Cheerios are one of the few foods Scott doesn't like.)
Ready to play some wii.
Jonah eating an avocado at Home Depot. Both boys love avocado and will eat a whole one no problem, but don't like it "squished" (guacamole).
Scott and I went to get a curtain rod, some pillows and sheets for Rick and Jess's visit. He was a good helper.
They also help with sweeping. I'm hoping with enough practice they'll actually sweep something up one day. Scott isn't bad with the little dustpan and hand brush, so sometimes he gets crumb clean up duty after meals.
Cash's birthday party had a big jump house and Jonah found an opening between the pillars.
Scott waiting not-so-patiently for Uncle Ricky to wake up. They flew in late at night and Scott couldn't wait to play, so he sat outside their room in the morning.
We went for pedicures while they were in town.
We also had to take Jonah in for an EEG and some blood work because he gets regular fevers with no other symptoms (and sometimes they cause seizures).
We kept him up until 3 for his appointment and he still wouldn't sleep at the office. He did hold still long enough for them to get a good reading, though.
Then he fell asleep before even pulling out of the hospital parking lot.
The results all came back normal, so now we just wait for another fever and take him in again during its peak. Hopefully it'll never come!

Baby Cedric

The boys had been looking forward to seeing Baby Cedric for weeks (which for toddlers is like decades).
They wanted to hold him all the time.
And give him kisses.
Scott asked when Uncle Ricky and Jessica go home if Baby Cedric could stay with us.
I said no, his parents want to take him home with them and he said, oh we have to share him?

Despite being around the loud, crazy boys, and not having a schedule during his visit, Cedric was a sweet little guy.
Jonah photo bomb.

Cedric got hungry during his photo shoot, so I took a picture of the boys while we waited for him to be ready to resume.

I dressed him in my favorite baby outfit. Such a little gentleman.

He was just so tiny and cute.
We miss him already!

Pictures at the Park

Now that we have a new family member, it was time for an updated picture. We went to the park and Katie took this one for us.
Even fruit snack bribes couldn't get their attention for more than a second. They just wanted to go play.
 Luckily Cedric is still cooperative.

To say he's doted on is an understatement.

We were all pretty obsessed with him.
 Amanda took this artistic one.
And since the boys wanted to run home, Amanda took advantage of the empty wagon.
None of us likes picture time, but it was quick and painless.

Natural Bridges

My brother's family came to visit and we went to the beach their first day. We only had a few hours, so Jonah dug right in.
It was really crowded, but it's a nice big beach.
Little sand crab.
Amanda the model.

I have no idea how I left the house without the boys' swimsuits, but they didn't seem to mind.

Jonah once again preferred the water over the sand and Scott the opposite.
Cedric just wanted to eat and veg.

He didn't love his hat straps, but he was so cute.

Catching sand crabs.

If he went in the water, Scott wanted to hold hands the whole time. The other hand went to keep his hat secure.

Cedric's first time in the ocean.
Little bubble toes.
He didn't really like the cold water. Next time, Cedric.

John tried skim boarding. The waves weren't great for it and there were a lot of people around, but he didn't face plant, so we call it a success.
