We spent some time in the church gym running around while it was still smokey outside.
Jane carried the basketball around. It was half her size. She found John's wallet and ran off with it.
Literally climbing the walls, whereas it was just figuratively at home.I've been getting bulk produce orders from local farmers and had a ton of squash. John made these garlic parmesan zucchini spears for lunch and I couldn't get enough of them. We burned through many, many pounds this way.
We had to change our filters and they were disgusting. We have an air filter and filter over a fan running nonstop, plus we keep the house air circulating. We also always open windows at night to cool off and haven't been able to, so we've been running the air conditioning a lot more. It's been an expensive power bill month. But I'm very grateful we got a/c installed last year. And it should only be a month or two.Perry set up his game for us to play in his room where Jane wouldn't come in.
She loves going in the shower after John and playing on the wet floor.
Going for a 70's style.
She must climb on everything.
My mom sent the kids a package with lots of fun little presents to open. Mostly edible.
Post lunch clean-up hair.Choosing her shoes.
Their older brothers had some discussions about whether an ax or wand would be the better weapon in battle.
Eating her puffs for movie night.
She kept trying to sneak popcorn.
Getting acquainted with the little bike. She walks around on it, doesn't scoot yet, but at least she likes it.She loves being on John's lap.
Pushing her baby in the stroller.
Finally fell asleep. Some nights she really fights it.
Jonah helping her learn to scoot.
Dance partners
I actually left the house and the sky was still so smokey.
My friend's son outgrew his legos and gave them to us. John and I tried to find the pieces in the manuals at night so they could put sets together. They all played happily, nonstop, all day with Legos. We took Jane outside for a few minutes, but it was too hazy. The poor girl just wants to go for walks.
Keeping her skin soft with some oatmeal.
Ash on the car windows.Helping Jonah with his piano practicing.
Jonah's school assignment about what pet he would like. He really does love guinea pig sitting.
Speaking of sitting, Jane loves to find places to sit.
When she hands us a plate or bowl, we'll put a little snack in it. She loves being able to communicate and get what she wants.
Another late night
Much more comfortable on the bike.
Still not loving it, though.
Perry sharing his water. She loves water bottles.
And climbing my blanket ladder.
Another place to sit.We don't wonder where she is learning her behaviors.
Jane loves wrapping a blanket (or sometimes a shirt or pjs) around herself. She's a very snuggly kid.
Taking her snack to her favorite hangout crate.
Trying to get her turn brushing her teeth.Got her crocs on, picking out a book. And all stretched out she doesn't have her baby belly. Such a big kid.
Our semi-annual carpet cleaning. It took a lot longer to dry with the windows closed, but it was much needed after we've all been home for so long.
More Lego play, all day. It was worth the 3 nights John and I spent prepping the bags for them.
And some Floor is Lava courses.
Earning screen time with kitchen floor scrubbing.
Perched on the toy basket.
Dance parties were our main form of exercise this week.
Jonah requested them every day, much to Scott's dismay.
