If Jane keeps him up at night, sometimes Perry comes to sleep in our bed and we move him over later. I'm not sure how this was any better, though.
Scott was out of his usual sleeping position, which is extremely abnormal for him.
Jonah was in a pretty typical position for him.
Jane was up late after her tubby. She's not quite done with naps, but if she sleeps long she does not go down at night.
Our neighbor gave Jane these Halloween stuffed animals, but Jane was terrified of this mouse in a pumpkin puppet when Scott tried to show her.
She loooooved the dancing Snoopy, though.
And warmed up to the "mousie," then had to take it everywhere with her.
Jane is hiding in the potato bush.
Jonah's gumdrop creation he made in class. We took a picture immediately after school in case it was destroyed. Jane had eaten several pieces before we got home, so that was a good call.
Hiking time. John was very winded going up the switchbacks with the chunky girl on his back.
I took a turn and made it the rest of the way, albeit a little sweatier than usual.
Jane came with me to run an errand at the mall. With mousie, of course.
She liked this chair.
And had to pop in to look at the Legos.
Jonah borrowed my phone for something and figured out how to take pictures of this hamburger guy. Kids can figure out technology so much faster than us without even trying.
Chapstick stealer.
She has to keep that little face ready for kisses.
Our Target outing, where Jane wanted to see Mario.
New slippers for those chilly walks to school in the stroller.
Poor guy got pushed out of his own bed.
The messiest baking assistant.
Jonah was trying to be brave for his flu shot so we wouldn't scare Jane.
We ended up doing Jane's first and she was a champ. Jonah was very scared, but afterward he said he barely felt it and it wasn't bad at all. He never believes us, so I took a video of him saying that so he can reassure himself next time.
Ready for kinder pickup.
Rainy Sunday afternoon with a puzzle and hot chocolate. My favorite.
Enjoying the rare wet weather.
Jane's rainbow umbrella she got for her birthday and has been waiting to use, then refused it because she wanted the Darth Vader one.
Huddled in their umbrella forts.
Eating all the pineapple while I prepped lunch.
We had fruit, then salsa, guac, and cheese sauce with chips. An hour later Perry asked what was for lunch and I told him we'd had that already and he insisted that chips are a snack, not a lunch.
Working on digging a hole for our new tree.
Jane's tea party.
Perry's syrup spider web fingers.
They played a magformer game like shuffleboard down our hallway all afternoon.
The fedora was here to stay.
I took Jane to the library
and she saw the playground. It was wet, but worth the outfit change.
Sweaty babies snuggled under the big blanket together.
Pulling her hair out like she's modeling.
Seriously, where does she learn to pose?
I like to take a couple minutes to myself in the hammock to try and destress each afternoon. Jane had other plans for me this day.
She needed to be touching me at all times.
School drop off with her "platypus."
Scott's first time wearing pants since spring and we obviously need to find him some longer ones.
Waving hi to everyone who passes.
My mom came to town for my sister's birthday and we went to breakfast.
I took no pictures of us, only Jane.
She was looking the cutest.
Everything she wears looks adorable.
Amanda came down for her birthday celebration.
We had presents and cake.
Well, eclairs. They were delicious.
Then the boys went to bed and we watched a chick flick with the backyard projector.
The house that burned down last year is finally getting rebuilt and Jane loves to watch the construction. I was taking a picture of her watching it and Perry wanted in. He loves hugging her.
We went to get Scott from school and the gate was locked. We were waiting for the custodian so many times we ended up having him walk to the front of the school instead eventually.
My taste tester in action.
Such a good helper.
And cuddle buddy.
Scooping the dirt out and dropping it back in while stealing my gloves and constantly losing our trowel.
Her cupcake face matched Minnie's boo face.
Jonah got back into Harry Potter and kept reading the whole series without asking, so we let him see if it was too scary or not. Of course, Scott joined in and they finished them all.
I still won't show them the movies yet, but it was fun to share the books with them.
