My little Perry had his kindergarten orientation. We couldn't go in with him because of covid, so he bravely went in to meet his teacher and see his classroom by himself. Luckily he at least has the same teacher as his brothers did.
Then we spent our last day of summer at the beach. Jonah found a kelp whip.
Jane was in sandy heaven.
Baby beach bum.
Running away from the waves.
while she eats crackers.
Our friends met us for a final play date before the kids start school.
Then the next day they were ready to go bright and early.
Perry had half days for a few weeks, but it was still a very hard transition for him. I'm sure not having preschool to prepare him made it worse. Plus he and I like to spend our day together and we missed each other.
Jane was forlorn without her brothers. She thought if her backpack was on, she could go to school, too.
She had to entertain herself.
Stealing John's chair, which she thinks is hilarious.
Superhero play, coloring, she bores easily of me.
Then we're excited to get back over and pick them up.
Jane discovered an ant problem outside of the school and took care of it for them.
