After two busy weeks, we didn't do much once John went back to work after his birthday and Father's day.
Lots of reading, as always.Jane found ways to entertain herself. And us.
She is a little ball of sunshine.
Perry is always cracking us up.
John's work furniture came in, so they assembled the desk and we set up shop in the living room.I made guacamole with some older avocados and it was a smash.
All ready with his huge monitors and swivel chair.
Perry getting a "free ride" on the stroller.Jane's personal playground while ours are closed.
She mimics us, like taking the character and tapping it on the board. It's very cute until she knocks everything out of her way.
Jane made a mess on the couch cushions. Every time I wash the covers I pray they'll last another wash. I really want to replace the couch, but would like to get through Jane's unintentional mischievous stage first. And maybe potty training.
Eyeing the new door lock.
Another day, another afternoon reading on their beds.
Walking around like a toddler.Jane copying John's back stretches.
Down with patriarchy!
Same activity, new location.
Crawling up onto my lap. Well, hello there. Her favorite food, by far, is cheese.
Out on a walk to the school blacktop.
I can't get enough of her crinkle nose.
We made up all sorts of games involving these numbers.
And eventually let Jane run around.
She stole the basketball before too long. Now that she's walking, she does not like shoes. Especially ones with hard bottoms. But they look adorable and sometimes the ground is too hot outside for bare feet.
We did some fish and cat sitting for a neighbor. They were entranced by the tiny aquarium and it made me long for the Monterey Aquarium.
Overseeing John's handiwork. Hopefully he doesn't give her any ideas, because he's putting a hole in the wall to add an outdoor outlet.
Although if she wants to take over home repairs and improvements one day, that'd be great.
It might be my imagination, but one good thing to come out of your being quarantined is that there are longer posts. Yes? No? Might be my imagination, but thanks. We so enjoy reliving your adventures and day-to-day. :O)
