She asks to help cook, but it's just a ruse to get access to all the food.

John started going into the office more often, which meant I had to start taking kids on errands occasionally. This one ended with a slurpee for our job well done.

She sleeps wedged between our pillows where she does the least amount of interfering. Otherwise she's on me/my side and I get no rest.

My birthday gift was delayed and came right in time for John's birthday. He installed it and it's perfect for hanging laundry.

It didn't last long, because they both like to go at their own pace and in their own directions.

A board game is almost always a daily occurrence. Lately it's been Villainous again. 

Loaded up and headed to the pool. We are loving having water access.

Another summer morning, another big breakfast. The kids were barely in school this year, but it's still nice to have them back on our lazier routines.

We went to Home Depot and Jane decided to sweep up a bit. It was very dirty outside.

Jonah was the opposite of helpful.

But we got some paver stones for the backyard and put a little path in the mulch to the compost pile.

It's a dark picture, but it looks nice. We'll enjoy it until it rains and the weeds come.
