She asks to help cook, but it's just a ruse to get access to all the food.
If she fits, she sits.
Shoes on, ready to go.
We had a little lunch date in the car.
John started going into the office more often, which meant I had to start taking kids on errands occasionally. This one ended with a slurpee for our job well done.
Sometimes you need all 4 crackers at once. They're more fun to eat in a stack. So many crumbs.
All lined up for movie night.
John working on my latest request: shelves in the older boys' room.
I finally, finally got a hair cut. I was waiting to be vaccinated, then there was a long line to get an appointment.
SO much better. Nice and light for the summer.
Checking out her chickies.
Happiest little runner at the park.
Sweet siblings walking home.
Nothing is off limits when you find a step stool.
Ice cream cone licking with Perry's hair bow styling.
Borrowing his "crockies."
Cleaning up all the strawberry tops after a nutella dipping marathon.
If you ever need your utensil licked clean, Jane is your girl.
She sleeps wedged between our pillows where she does the least amount of interfering. Otherwise she's on me/my side and I get no rest.
My cutest, sweetie Perry.
Made herself some waffles and she's very proud of it.
Helping us wash the cars.
A tiny kiss for her tiny Minnie.
Waiting impatiently at the corner for Jonah to walk to the pool with us.
Running our neighbor's dog, Eileen. She may be missing a leg, but her on 3 legs is still significantly faster than us on 2.
Sleeping in his Minions hat.
Giving Eileen a sneaky snack.
Jane loved having Eileen over to play. Especially if they each kept their distance.
Trying to do the splits.
A nice, big sourdough waffle.
My birthday gift was delayed and came right in time for John's birthday. He installed it and it's perfect for hanging laundry.
Waiting at the corner before crossing the street to the pool. The walk is the perfect length for getting nice and hot so we can jump in and cool off when we get there.
John opening his birthday gifts.
And enjoying his apple crisp.
Eileen was eyeing us for some. But we learned already that we all pay the price later for giving her people food.
Jane was ready to take her for a walk.
It didn't last long, because they both like to go at their own pace and in their own directions.
A board game is almost always a daily occurrence. Lately it's been Villainous again.
Loaded up and headed to the pool. We are loving having water access.
Another summer morning, another big breakfast. The kids were barely in school this year, but it's still nice to have them back on our lazier routines.
We went to Home Depot and Jane decided to sweep up a bit. It was very dirty outside.
Jonah was the opposite of helpful.
But we got some paver stones for the backyard and put a little path in the mulch to the compost pile.
It's a dark picture, but it looks nice. We'll enjoy it until it rains and the weeds come.
