Mickey Mouse
Luke Skywalker
and Harry Potter
had a great Halloween.
We went to the Monster Boogie Bash to walk in the class parade,
go on a few bounce houses,
then walk through the "daylight" haunted house, which was still terrifying for some of us.
Jonah wanted to be A New Hope Luke Skywalker, which was impossible to find in a size 4. I ended up making the tunic from a pattern my friend had from the 70's. I sewed some ace bandages wrapped onto socks and he wore them over khakis with a belt. He has the perfect hair and light saber to complete the outfit.
Perry needed a smaller shirt, which I got in long sleeves this time, but used the shorts from Jonah's costume a few years ago.
After a little while at the school party, we went to our church for a chili dinner and trunk or treating.
One of the cars had a cool backdrop with a fog machine. Scott's costume is actually the same as he used as a toddler, I just pinned the robe up a little bit instead of a lot.
Perry examining his spoils.
Jonah and Scott had fall activities at school on Halloween.
Then we carved pumpkins. Scott did this Harry Potter one. The pictures are screenshots, so they're blurry.
Jonah made a jack-o-lantern.
And Perry put BB8 pieces in his white pumpkin and stickers on his orange one.
John made this one at a young men's activity, where he's one of the leaders. I was so impresssed!
Then we went trick or treating until bed time. I was sad the boys didn't want to be coordinated costumes this year, but they loved them and had fun.
