Disneyland with Britta II

We started our second day at California Adventure. I picked up beignets in Downtown Disney while John and Britta stood in line to get fast passes for the Cars racers. Perry sugar coma'd quickly after a late night fighting sleep while John walked him up and down the hotel hallways (love you, John!)
We saw Mater and had to stop to say hi.
The boys were decked out in their Cars gear, ready for the Luigi ride.
And Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, which Jonah was just a hair too short to ride last year.
He was excited to be big this year. He's still about an inch too short for the majority of the big kid rides, mainly the Racers, that I know he'd love. Next trip.
Scott was tall enough and rode with me and John, then again with Britta when we baby swapped.
Then we entertained ourselves in the long Midway Mania ride line.
3d glasses help.
Just had to document my high score of the hour.
The carousel is perfect for a quick line-free ride.
The Ferris wheel makes me nervous even though it's completely caged in.
Scott directing us to the next ride. The kid loves maps.
He was talking up a storm to Britta, hand motions and all. We did Little Mermaid a couple times, too, because it's a fun ride with a fast line that everyone could go on.
Helping us track Perry back down.
We had fast passes this time, so the line was shorter.
Perry was happy to play, but has no qualms wandering off.
Cutest little Woody.
Jonah had changed into his Buzz costume, but it was a little hot for the whole get-up.
Woody and Buzz were so cute they landed us a free fastpass for the family from one of the cast members.
We went to meet Buzz and suddenly Jonah decided to be shy.
Perry was confused about the whole thing, but didn't cry.
Then we saw Lightning McQueen and just barely got to meet him before they traded cars.
They've been counting down the days until the new movie every morning with Alexa's help.
Perry loved playing in the Animation Studio area. It's one of our favorite places to be able to sit in the a/c, rest our feet, and watch animation/drawing movie clips on the big screens.
We lucked out and got to meet Elsa. Our own little Anna was adorable seeing her in person.
The third and final day we packed up the van, checked out of the hotel, and went to Disneyland again. We were in line for Peter Pan when I started getting migraine symptoms, so I went to sit on a bench until my medicine kicked in. Then we went on Pirates, which I actually slept through most of.
Little Mickeys in front of the castle.
Luckily the flashes in my vision subsided and I just had a mild headache the rest of the day. I really wanted to enjoy the trip with our family.
Perry spent a lot of time waiting for us to go on rides, but we also did all of the Fantasyland rides, which he could do with us.
The boys loved Autopia. They can't wait until they can drive real cars. With the way they drive, it'll be a long time before we let that happen.
Baby swapping is great for older kids to get to ride things twice.
I love them in the ears.
The backs are especially cute. We went on the Winnie the Pooh ride next. Disneyland is great for families because there are also so many rides like this where all ages can go together. No other place we've been has been so accommodating for babies.
The last picture of Jonah's ears before he left them on the Monorail, which they called the "Moana-rail."
We're hoping they get turned in and mailed to us. Disney is great about lost and found, so fingers crossed.
And of course we had to go through Mickey's house and meet him. Even though keeping a squirmy Perry content in line was challenging, it was fun watching the Mickey cartoon clips while we waited.
Perry definitely got more bottle access than he's accustomed to. Anything to keep him happy so we could all have a good time.
Sweet Mickeys. (He's borrowing Perry's hat)
We spent a little time in Toon Town, mostly doing Gadget's Go Coaster, before heading out.
We went on Small World all together as our last ride. Then I bought Perry a cute Small World bath toy because I wanted it. It's only fair since he earned part of the ticket money and was technically free. Plus he missed out on lots of rides. I was also hoping it'd help entertain him on the drive home.
We went to Earl of Sandwich for a final meal and checked out the big Lego store.
Before we knew it, the time had come to drive back already. Nobody slept as well as we'd hoped on the way back, but they crashed hard once they were in their beds. Another successful Disney trip in the books, and we're already excitedly talking about the next one.
