Coyote Valley Hike

We went back to the Calero area, but tried a shorter hike in cooler weather.
Lots of windy trails and nobody around.
Scott our future cross country star ran ahead to a place we'd point out, then wait for us to pick the next spot. Sometimes he'd run back to us again, so he may have done the trail 2-3 times.
We kept Jane contained as long as she could handle it.
She either stops or runs, so it's not great for group hiking.
She copies the running from her brother, who just flies on these trails.
It actually helped her go faster.
Then we found a peeing cow.
Reluctantly holding hands on a steeper section.
Trying to make friends with the cows.
By the end, I was running ahead with the boys and John was walking the dawdler.
She caught up at the end and wanted to climb up on the railing with Perry.
So flexible and strong.
Not sure she wanted up there after all.

Some brothers to the rescue.
With an early start and enough snacks, it was a great outing, even with our new little hiker insisting on getting out of the carrier for most of it.
