On our drive home we stopped to run around at a rest area.
At another rest stop, Jonah wanted to know what these ancient relics were.
Who knew old pay phones could be so much fun.
To be fair, we'd been cooped in the van for a while.
We made it back home late at night. The next morning, Jane was back to her usual antics.
Perry had zoom preschool music class
It was a Halloween themed day, with a witch song. Jane was ready.
John picked up some weed barrier and stakes and lined the backyard.
Hanging out after bedtime.
Somebody left the peanut butter jar on the table.
Reading in the backyard. Thankfully, when we got home the air was better. Although our neighbor across the street's house caught on fire while we were gone, so it did smell like burnt rubber outside for a few days.
Jane is ready to be pushed.
Jonah at his new little desk in his room. It's easier for him to focus without our noise all around him.
Getting herself some water.
And pouring it on herself.
Which is why naptime can be so great.
We're working on closing the bathroom door when we leave the room, because Jane has a 6th sense for when it's open.
Taking a bite out of each tortilla.
She really takes advantage of my being distracted, usually helping someone with schoolwork or prepping food. I would leave her in the playroom but nobody can hear their zoom meetings with her screeching.
Plus, she can get into mischief in any space.
Looking like a perfect, trouble-free angel.
I love when her brothers can play with her and keep her happy.
Schoolwork in the backyard.
Jonah's candy science experiment.
Jane stole a paintbrush from the art cupboard and was trying to paint a book on my bed. I love when she tries copying what she sees us doing.
Trying out walking on a walk.
It's constant work keeping her out of everyone's business.
At least she's drinking the water this time.
Watching the garbage and recycling truck, one of the few normal toddler activities Jane can do.
A less normal activity.
This one is normal for us. John loves back massages of any kind.
All four kids with books. I love Jane's position and Scott looks about 8 feet long.
Trying to read on her bike.
When you master that one, let me know. Maybe I'll exercise more if I can read while doing it.
