I got up early to go get bagels from a cute local bagel shop.
They were realllly good. Jane ate out the insides like a weirdo.
At fist, Malcolm did not like her using his high chair, even though he refused to sit in it. By the end of the week, they both thought it was fun.
Pajama buddies.
Three little distractors.
Jane moved on to a new person to interrupt.
She is the cutest troublemaker.
Recess invention by Jonah.
Jessica played more than her share of exploding kittens with Perry. It was a very nice break for me.
As soon as school ended, we went to Hovander Homestead Park.
They weren't giving tours because of covid, but the animals were still out and we could walk around the play.
A nice, open field to play soccer for Scott.
A giant tower for Perry to climb up,
several times.
It was really cool inside.
Since there weren't other kids, we let them use the playground equipment.
It started raining a misty rain and I loved it.
We were about half prepared for rain.
The kids didn't mind.
Perry requested his picture be taken in front of everything.
Cedric did not.
But they cooperated for a quick group shot. Malcolm was at home napping, so only 5 out of 6.
Jane was ready to climb over the fence.
She loved the animals.
My cutie boy in Ced's raincoat.
Then we picked the last few apples.
It took some dedication since most of them were already picked.
Jane said there were perfectly good ones on the ground, ready to eat.
Perry asked if we can come back. He always says that when we're out someplace fun, especially when there's food.
We went through the garden on our way out.
It was getting drizzly on my glasses, but the flowers were too pretty to pass up.

Going through the tunnels
Reading the names of the flowers.
Back at home we decorated a Halloween haunted house I picked up when grocery shopping.
It was a big hit and fun rainy prevening activity.
Jane helping unset the table.
Malcolm liked playing with Perry. He's very gentle with babies but is willing to wrestle, much like Jonah.
Cousin scene
My dad came over again for our last dinner together.
And a little dessert we brought to share. Ced knows the drill.
It took some silly faces from John behind me, but we got a picture of the cousins all together.
The next morning we packed everything up while the boys had a few last bites of the house.
Jane sat herself at the table.
She looked so tiny and cute.
Like a little doll.
We said goodbye to my dad.
And started on our way back home.
It was a lovely week with family and none of us really wanted to leave just yet.
