We usually walk to our local library branch each week and they just built a baby/toddler play area. Even with the new toys and all the books available, the boys love to use the computer.
Jonah's bedhead.
He stops and says cheese whenever I hold up my phone.
Jonah and his birthday buddies in nursery. They were born 1 and 2 weeks before him.
Just getting some work done.
After jogging, the boys like to play on this grassy hill while Melody and I stretch. One time a salesman was playing his guitar and Jonah sat down like it was a concert just for him.
John showed Jonah the new Star Wars movie preview and he was so excited. He pointed to the screen when R2-D2 came on and yelled, "teeto! teeto!" The boys haven't seen any of the movies, so I don't know how they know they're awesome, but they can tell.
Karen stopped by just in time for chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven. The boys were fresh from the bath, but quickly re-dirtied themselves with chocolate mouths and hands.
Jonah always wants to hold baby Indy. He's getting so big I'm not sure how much longer it'll work.
I started organizing park day again and have fun talking with other parents and grandparents while the boys play.
This is what Jonah did when there were no more seats.
Free Jamba Juice day. I poured some of Scott's into a cup for Jonah.
Scott was beyond thrilled about having a smoothie.
It was a little chilly out that morning, but they both wanted to wear sunglasses.
We packed lunches to meet John at work while he ate his work lunch. Scott asked if we were going to have a picnic like Mickey Mouse. (The one episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse that they watch has a picnic, so apparently that's the only way he knows about them.)
Throwing little leaves and twigs and rocks in the water. They can't see water without wanting to throw something in it!
Saying goodbye to Daddy is still a struggle most mornings.
We went to a fun Hungry Caterpillar-themed birthday party.
They're boy/girl twins, so they had the caterpillar and butterfly represented.
The boys loved their toddler-sized bounce house.
We helped with a neighborhood litter clean-up one Saturday. I brought sports equipment that kept the little kids entertained while parents worked. They had a blast.
Silly Daddy will do anything to make the boys laugh.
Giving Indy some morale support during tummy time.
Scott is the best baby helper.
Jonah likes to be in his face. He's also possessive about blankets.
The librarian helped Scott pick out all the airplane books.
Jonah is still doling out hugs to everyone he can.
Sweet Aidan sat and read book after book to the boys. I was supposed to be watching him and his brother, but they were more help with watching my kids.
Our neighbor gave us their old Hungry Hippo game. It's missing some marbles, but Scott and Jonah love it.
Scott quickly figured out how to cheat.
Jonah snuggling my towel after I took it off of my hair. He'll hug anything.
Scott reading his Planes book to Jonah. Jonah waiting patiently for that book to end so he can have Scott read his Mickey book next.
Looking out the window before church to watch the neighbors playing basketball.
Jonah unpacked my Easter decorations so they could hide the eggs again. I just put them around the house and they'll search a looooong time.
Jonah asks to wear Woody or Batman pajamas all the time.
He learns from Scott, who is always in his Dusty jams. I bought this states puzzle from a neighbor and Scott has been learning where people live--he knows Wendy is in Pennsylvania, Ricky is in Minnesota, Neil's family in AZ, etc. He says we're going on a boat in Alaska, Disneyland is in California, and we live in Hawaii. Dream big.
Jonah's first pudding experience was a hit.
My mom made pudding with them while she babysat, so when Jonah made the mess I sent this picture with me and him to her.
Pudding love and mess must be genetic.
