Perry wanted to get pizza for lunch for his birthday, but he wanted to pay for it himself.
We went to Little Caesar's, where he had enough money to buy a pizza. He was so cute with his little allowance box.
Then it was back to his science "aspirients," which he and I worked on most of the day.
Microwaving mega marshmallows was a big hit.
Everyone wanted to watch and taste.
Waiting for the layers to settle so we can pour another one.
Mixing up some slime.
School breaks brought helping hands.
Writing secret lemon juice messages.
Making a Baked Alaska cake.
Stirring up sugar to make crystals.
So many projects going.
He finished the cake the next day since it had many steps.
It looked and tasted great and the ice cream stayed cold!
After dinner, he opened presents.
And Aunt Amanda came through with this amazing Hot Head cake-- a random boss in Zelda that Perry picked.
It was awesome.
Trying to eat cake and open a present simultaneously. There are never enough hours in a birthday.
New Mickey shirt.
He got a new bigger scooter
Which meant Jane could use his little one.
Then they played video games until bedtime.
And he crashed hard. My sweet boy.
At five years old, Perry is 3'7" tall and weighs 39.2 pounds. His favorite food is enchiladas, show is Mickey Mouse shorts and Phineas and Ferb, books are the Elephant and Piggie, and Mercy Watson series, animal is penguin, color is teal, song is Coldplay. When he grows up he wants to make cakes for everyone.
He loves playing board games and keeps track of our points, even adding lots of numbers. He likes to ride his scooter, play outside, read and be read to, help cook and bake.
He's clever and funny, a hard worker, loves loud music and dancing, will give Jane anything if it makes her happy. He forgives easily and brings joy to everyone around him.
